The frosted-lens, high-CRI version of Zebralight's flagship right-angle headlamp, and owners describe the tint as amazing and remarkably even, with output and colour rendering to match. Programmable levels and a genuine moonlight mode round it out, and medium-output runtimes on the Mk IV are better than the Mk III generation.

The Mk IV generation drew specific criticism, though. Owners consider its PID thermal control poorly implemented compared with the Mk III, and describe the H1 top setting as unrealistic — the brightest level warms up very quickly. The battery compartment is tight enough that it won't accept all 18650s. There's some light bleeding through the switch at higher levels, and minor cosmetic imperfections in the anodising near the cooling fins. Owners still call it a keeper.

Which cells fit?: The compartment is tight and won't take every 18650 — protected cells in particular can be too long or too wide. Check dimensions before buying spares.
What's wrong with the thermal control?: Owners find the Mk IV's regulation less well tuned than the Mk III's, so the top level heats up fast and steps down in a way that feels less considered. It doesn't stop the light working well at usable levels.
What does the 'Fc' mean?: Frosted lens plus high-CRI emitter. It gives a pure, even flood with good colour, which is what you want on a headlamp for close work — no hotspot to aim.
