The Baton grows up: a full-size 3500mAh 18650, a proper tail switch alongside the side button, and both MCC magnetic and USB-C charging. 1600 lumens with a four-hour high makes it the most practical Baton yet. The proprietary dual-contact cell still annoys enthusiasts, but everyone else will never notice.
Beam profile
Balanced, about 26° wide. A usable hotspot with enough spill to see around it.

Olight Baton 4 Pro/5 sources reviewed
The version of the Baton 4 that answers the line's oldest complaint: it adds a USB-C port, hidden under a retractable cover in the tailcap, alongside the magnetic charging. Reviewers call it the best Baton yet. It also gains a tail switch, produces around 1,300 lumens with 170 m of reach, and charges in a little under three hours. Build quality on both it and the Baton Ultra is described as dense, solid and well made.
The main gripe is the side switch. There's noticeable take-up before it activates, the click is muted and soft, and the surrounding bezel means larger fingers can lose the switch — which makes double and triple clicks hit and miss. The cell is still proprietary, though it is at least user-replaceable.
