Olight ArkPro

Olight/EDC

Olight ArkPro

The Goldilocks of Olight's flat ArkPro trio packs four light sources into a 16mm-thin unibody slab: a 1500-lumen SFT-40 pure flood, an 800-lumen SFT-25 spotlight reaching 205m, a 1000mW 365nm UV emitter, and a daylight-visible Class 3R green laser on its own momentary side switch. A rotary selector flips between flood, spot, and UV while the top e-switch runs five brightness levels, and the built-in 2000mAh cell refills via USB-C in 1.5 hours or the MCC magnetic puck. 1Lumen scored it 4.5 stars for 'exquisite' build quality - the tradeoffs are a non-removable battery and cool, ~70 CRI tint.

Beam profile

Balanced, about 24° wide. A usable hotspot with enough spill to see around it.

What owners report

Olight ArkPro/5 sources reviewed

The flat-body EDC that finally moved Olight to USB-C, and reviewers treat that alone as significant — you charge it with a cable you already own. The wedge shape, easily selectable modes and rock-solid construction make it a standout, and Olight's superalloy is claimed to be 1.73 times harder than 6061 with unibody construction that reviewers describe as extremely strong. Build quality is called exquisite, with no fit or finish issues out of the box. It packs 1,500 lumens into something slightly smaller than a streaming remote, plus UV and a laser pointer.

Three criticisms. One reviewer's unit had a small factory finishing blemish, and the edges beside the rotary selector are sharp enough that they should have been chamfered. Some owners object that Olight programs turbo to become inaccessible below roughly two-thirds charge — they'd rather decide for themselves. And around $100 is expensive for a light this size.

Consistently praised

  • USB-C charging — you use a cable you already have
  • Flat wedge shape carries far better than a tube
  • Superalloy unibody construction, claimed 1.73x harder than 6061
  • Exquisite build quality with no fit or finish issues out of the box
  • 1,500 lumens plus UV and a laser pointer in a remote-sized body

Common complaints

  • Turbo becomes inaccessible below roughly two-thirds charge
  • The edges beside the rotary selector are sharp and should be chamfered
  • One reviewer's unit had a small factory finishing blemish
  • Around $100 is expensive for the size
  • Low-CRI emitter, as with most Olights

Questions people ask

Why can't I use turbo on a low battery?
Olight locks it out below roughly two-thirds charge to protect the cell and keep output honest. Some owners find that sensible; others want the choice, and it's a recurring complaint.
Is the flat shape better?
For carrying, clearly — it sits flat in a pocket and doesn't roll off a table. People who switch to the format rarely go back to tubes.
How does it compare to the Arkfeld Pro?
The ArkPro is the newer platform with USB-C and the superalloy body. The Arkfeld Pro has the true 365nm UV. If UV detection matters, check which wavelength each version uses.
Are the sharp edges a real problem?
A reviewer flagged the edges beside the rotary selector as needing chamfering. It's a finishing detail rather than a fault, but noticeable on a light you handle daily.
