Olight Arkfeld Pro

Three tools in one flat package: a 1300-lumen floody white beam, a genuinely useful 365nm UV emitter, and a class 3R green laser pointer, all picked with a rotary ring selector. The flat body rides in a pocket like a phone instead of a pipe. Magnetic-only charging and a sealed 1500mAh battery are the trade-offs for the party tricks.

Beam profile

Flood, about 46° wide. Wide and even — light where you are, not where you're pointing.

Features

What owners report

Olight Arkfeld Pro/5 sources reviewed

The flat-body EDC that combines a 1,300 lumen white beam, a green laser pointer and a genuine 365nm UV LED in something the shape of a phone-sized slab. The UV is the standout: 365nm rather than the cheaper 395nm most lights use, which makes it actually work for currency checking and stain detection. Build is AL6061-T6 with stainless accents, and owners report months between charges in normal use.

The criticisms are specific. Olight increased the laser output without lifting the white output past 1,300 lumens, which reviewers saw as the wrong priority. The UV is underpowered and, more importantly, has no ZWB2 filter — so visible light leaks alongside it and faintly fluorescent things don't stand out as they should. There's a known bug where some units shipped with turbo and strobe swapped, which Olight patched around rather than recalled. The rotary switch also feels less solid than the previous model's.

Consistently praised

  • Genuine 365nm UV rather than the cheaper 395nm — useful for real detection work
  • Three light sources in one flat body: white, green laser and UV
  • Flat shape carries far better in a pocket than a tube light
  • AL6061-T6 body with stainless steel fittings and a good anodised finish
  • Owners report months between charges in normal use

Common complaints

  • No ZWB2 filter on the UV, so visible light leaks and washes out fluorescence
  • The UV is underpowered and only really works in a dark room
  • White output stayed at 1,300 lumens while the laser got upgraded instead
  • Some units shipped with turbo and strobe swapped — patched, not recalled
  • The rotary switch feels lower quality than the previous model's

Questions people ask

Is the UV actually useful?
More than most flashlight UV, because it's true 365nm. But without a ZWB2 filter it leaks visible light, so faint fluorescence gets washed out. It works well in a properly dark room and poorly otherwise.
What's the turbo/strobe bug?
Some units shipped with the two modes swapped. Olight addressed it in software rather than recalling affected lights, so a unit in the wild may still behave unexpectedly.
Why buy a flat flashlight?
It carries like a phone rather than a tube, so it sits flat in a pocket and doesn't roll off surfaces. Once people try the format they tend to stay with it.
Is the laser a gimmick?
For most people, yes. It's genuinely handy if you present, work outdoors pointing things out at distance, or need to indicate something across a site. Otherwise it's the feature you'll use least.
