Olight ArkPro Ultra

Olight/EDC

Olight ArkPro Ultra

The flagship of Olight's flat ArkPro trio is machined from premium O-Aluminum and stacks four sources into one 16mm slab: a 1700-lumen pure flood, an 800-lumen spotlight throwing 205m, the line's strongest 1200mW 365nm UV, and a green laser switchable between eye-safe Class 1 and brighter Class 3R output on a dedicated momentary switch. A rotary selector picks the source, an LED ring around the main switch doubles as output and charge indicator (with the color-cycling 'ArkBeat' animation), and the 2000mAh built-in cell charges via USB-C in 1.5 hours or the MCC magnetic base. ZeroAir called it 'a great light' - just mind the non-removable battery and cool 5900-7100K, ~70 CRI beam.

Beam profile

Balanced, about 26° wide. A usable hotspot with enough spill to see around it.

What owners report

Olight ArkPro Ultra/5 sources reviewed

The top of the ArkPro line, combining a high-output white beam, a clean 365nm UV and a daylight-visible green laser in one flat package. The interesting part is the emitter: Olight developed the EIP 1 in-house specifically in response to complaints about "ugly green" tints, and it holds a neutral-to-cool 5700-6000K with remarkably low colour deviation. The flat unibody survives four-foot concrete drops and full submersion, backed by a lifetime warranty, and the familiar double-click to turbo is restored. Reviewers score it 7 or better across six of seven real-world use cases.

Two substantive faults. The integrated battery can't be swapped in the field, and 67 CRI makes colour-critical work — identifying wire colours, matching paint — harder than it needs to be, which sits awkwardly on a light sold partly for inspection. Regulation is also poor, as with most Olights, the ArkBeat indicator is a gimmick, and $129.99 is steep.

Consistently praised

  • EIP 1 emitter developed to fix Olight's tint reputation — very low colour deviation
  • White, true 365nm UV and a daylight-visible green laser in one flat body
  • Survives four-foot concrete drops and full submersion, with a lifetime warranty
  • Double-click to turbo restored after being changed on earlier models
  • Scores 7 or higher across six of seven real-world use cases

Common complaints

  • 67 CRI makes colour-critical work like wire identification harder
  • Integrated battery can't be swapped in the field
  • Regulation is poor, as with most Olights
  • The ArkBeat indicator is a gimmick rather than a feature
  • $129.99 is steep for a light this size

Questions people ask

What is the EIP 1 emitter?
An Olight in-house design created specifically to answer complaints about green tints. It holds 5700-6000K with very low colour deviation — a real improvement, though CRI is still only 67.
Is 67 CRI a problem?
For inspection work, yes. Identifying wire colours or matching paint is harder than it should be on a light partly marketed for those jobs. The tint is clean; the colour rendering isn't.
Can the battery be replaced?
Not in the field — it's integrated. For an EDC light that's usually acceptable; for anything where you'd want a spare, it's a real limitation.
How is the UV?
A clean 365nm rather than the cheaper 395nm, which makes it genuinely useful for detection work rather than a novelty.
