Reviewers like the size, the interface and the packaging — the presentation is a clear step up from older Sofirn boxes — and the price with a cell included lands around $35.

Two caveats recur. Measured output comes in roughly 25% under the claim, which is a larger gap than most brands, and turbo in particular doesn't reach its rating. One reviewer also had the light stop responding and had to unscrew the head to switch it off. The aggressive bezel is worth noting if you carry a light in a trouser pocket.

Does it really underperform its specs?: Independent measurements put it about 25% under across the range, with turbo the worst offender. It's still a competent light for the money — just don't buy it on the headline number.
Is it a tactical light or an EDC?: Marketed as both. In practice it's an EDC with a firm bezel: too small for real duty use, but the interface and clip suit daily carry.
Which tint should I pick?: Sofirn offers several. A neutral 4000-5000K option is the safer general-purpose choice; the cool-white SST-40 posts the biggest numbers but renders colour poorly.
What's the gap between low modes about?: The spacing jumps from about 1 lumen straight to 90, so there's no comfortable indoor level in between. If you want a usable low, this is the light's most practical shortcoming.
