The SC31 Pro's claim to fame is being the cheapest way into Anduril. For around $25 it puts the full enthusiast firmware — ramping, configurable thermal ceiling, mode memory, a lit switch — on a plain 18650 body with USB-C charging, and for a long stretch nothing else did that at the price.

Owner sentiment is broadly positive but less unanimous than for the FC11. The firmware and the value are what people praise; the beam is what they don't. The SST-40 is a cool, low-CRI emitter and several reviewers found the beam pattern unremarkable, which is the main thing separating this from the high-CRI budget lights. There are scattered reports of units flickering or failing early, which look like isolated quality-control misses rather than a pattern, but they're common enough to be worth knowing at this price point.

Is this a good first Anduril light?: It's the cheapest way to find out whether you like the firmware, which is exactly why people buy it. Set it to Simple UI first if the full menu system is off-putting; you can switch to the advanced interface once you want the extra control.
How is the tint?: Cool and low CRI in the standard SST-40 version — this is the light's main compromise. If colour rendering matters to you, a high-CRI budget light like the Wurkkos FC11 is the better buy even though it lacks Anduril.
What's the difference between the SC31 Pro and the SC31T?: The SC31T is the tactical variant with a dual-switch tail and a forward clicky, aimed at momentary use. The SC31 Pro is the side-switch Anduril version. They share the body but the interfaces are completely different.
Does it come with a battery?: Sofirn usually bundles an 18650 with the kit version and sells a cheaper bare-light version without one. Check which you're ordering — the price difference is roughly the cost of the cell.
