The SC33 pairs a Cree XHP70.3 HI with a 21700 to produce 5,200 lumens with genuine throw behind it, and reviewers rate the emitter choice highly — it's efficient, so the light manages both a lot of output and respectable runtime rather than trading one for the other. Turbo runs about an hour and a half; eco runs for weeks.

It's a big light for an EDC, which is the main complaint: more substantial than most in its class and not comfortably pocketable. The beam has some ringing and the crenellated bezel throws a pentagonal spill — not the cleanest pattern, though it works fine in use. Colour rendering is the usual XHP70 story: cool and low CRI. One thing worth crediting is that no mode uses PWM, so there's no flicker for people sensitive to it.

Is it too big to carry?: For most people, yes, as a daily pocket light — it's noticeably larger than a typical 18650 EDC. It suits a bag, a vehicle or a jacket pocket better than trousers.
What does 'no PWM' mean and why does it matter?: Some lights dim by switching the LED on and off very fast, which some people perceive as flicker and find headache-inducing. The SC33 uses constant current at every level, so there's nothing to perceive.
How is the beam quality?: Serviceable rather than clean. There's visible ringing in the transition from hotspot to spill, and the toothed bezel shapes the spill into a pentagon. It doesn't affect usefulness, but it isn't a premium beam.
Does it charge quickly?: About three hours from flat over the tail USB-C port, which is reasonable for a 21700.
