Maglite/Thrower

Maglite ML150LR

Maglite's rechargeable duty light. A LiFePO4 pack rated to keep 80 percent of its capacity after 1000 cycles drives 1082 lumens and an ANSI 52,555 candela, 458 metres, with three and a quarter hours on high and 79 hours on eco. It charges in a cradle — 120 V, 230 V and 12 V vehicle versions are sold — and reaches 80 percent in 30 minutes; there is no USB port of any kind. Function sets and the twist-focus head carry over from the D-cell models, the warranty is ten years, and Maglite does not publish the pack capacity or the light's weight.

Beam profile

Thrower, about 9.3° wide. Reach first: a small hotspot that puts light a long way out.
