The compromises are the format's. It's cool white with no high-CRI option, which reviewers would have welcomed. There's no lithium-ion support, and AAA cells aren't long-lived. Can it run a 10440 lithium cell?: It isn't designed for one, and the higher voltage risks the driver. Treat it as an AAA-only light — that availability is the point of the format.
