Which emitter does it actually have?: Unclear, and that's Wurkkos's fault. The website claims XHP70.3 HI, the manual and product photos show XHP70.2, and the box says "XHP70D HICRI". Treat the emitter spec as unreliable.
How bad is the heat?: Bad enough to be the headline complaint. It's a lot of output in a small body, so high is a burst mode in practice. Lower levels are comfortable and the driver is efficient there.
Is the boost driver worth caring about?: Yes — it keeps output steady as the cell drains rather than letting brightness sag, which is unusual at this price and is the main technical reason to pick it over cheaper rivals.
