Nichia 219F 5000K

Reylight/EDC
A solid brass AA/14500 light from a one-man brand with a long-standing enthusiast following. The rosy Nichia 519A 4000K R9080 emitter, true moonlight mode, and a tritium slot in the tailcap make it feel like a custom light at a production price. Brass patinas beautifully — and weighs more than aluminium rivals — while the reverse-clicky tail keeps the UI simple.
Beam profile
Balanced, about 28° wide. A usable hotspot with enough spill to see around it.
Estimated from 600 lm ÷ 3,175 cd — how this works
The price shown is a snapshot from the last catalog sweep, not a live figure. Links to a brand's own store are not paid placements and earn us nothing.
Manufacturer figures, measured to ANSI FL1 where the brand states it.
Reylight Pineapple/5 sources reviewed
A brass AA/14500 light from a one-man brand with a long enthusiast following, and the appeal is craft rather than output. The brass looks spectacular, the clip on current versions is a massive improvement over the original, and the mode set is chosen by someone who understands priorities — reviewers note that Reylight is run by real flashlight people who know a genuine low matters more than a big high. The moonlight is properly low and there's plenty of brightness on both Eneloops and 14500s.
Three things to know. The brass is coated, which some owners initially take as a criticism — it's actually a protective film to stop it tarnishing. Brass is heavy, and owners note the larger versions are unpleasant to carry for that reason. And tolerances are the design's weak point: the battery tube is slightly undersized for some cells and can create a vacuum when removing them, while button tolerances have been a persistent issue across the Pineapple and LAN designs.
