Nitecore NU25 MCT

The thru-hiker's default headlamp, now with a dual-core MCT emitter that lets you pick 3000K, 4500K or 6500K white alongside the red secondary. Four hundred lumens reaches 132 metres, more reach than the class usually offers, and the whole unit weighs 1.8 ounces with bracket and headband; the lighter NU25 MCT UL sells for $36.95. The 700 mAh cell is built in and charges over USB-C. Rated IP66, so rain is fine but submersion is not, and Nitecore gives no CRI for any of the three tints.
